Barbet Rescue

Barbet Fanciers Club was formed in 2008 as a cooperative effort of Barbet owners, breeders, & fanciers who believe we have a responsibility not only for our own dogs and the dogs we produce, but for our breed as a whole. Many rescue dogs can be traced 1-3 generations back to a recognized breeder, we believe all breeders should take it upon themselves to assist Barbet in need.

The purpose of our rescue is to take in stray, abandoned, surrendered and/or impounded purebred Barbet, provide them with foster care, health and temperament screening, offer an opportunity for rehabilitation if necessary, assure their health and place them in new forever homes.

A portion of the revenue generated through membership, calendar sales and other means of financial assistance go in part to the Rescue Division.

If you know of a Barbet that is in need of assistance or rescue please contact c/o Danielle Leighton (Canada) or c/o Stacy Able (United States) or c/o Elaine Fitcher (France)
