Membership of this group is not limited to Barbet owners or breeders, nor is it limited to Geography. With so few Barbet in the world (2007 was less than 800) this group is committed to education, co-operation and networking. Please provide the Barbet Fanciers with a little information about yourself, and your dogs. You will receive an email response with instructions on how to get your membership started. Accepted membership is subject to a probationary status, declined membership is subject to a written letter stating the reason for the decision. Also, membership is subject to accountability of its' members and rightly so can be revoked and/or reinstated at any time with just cause.

CANADA:
Barbetfanciers.ca is a group of Canadians who join together for the common interest of the Barbet. Our fanciers council meet throughout the year at different locations to discuss matters that directly affect the group, as well as the Barbet. The cost of membership is $20.00 CDN per year which goes towards publications, promotion, dogshow boosters, and webhosting costs. Our goal is to educate and inform people about this vibrant and versatile breed and promote healthy and ethical breeding practices. It is also our desire to maintain accurate and historical records of the Barbet in Canada, providing support and encouragement to owners and breeders throughout this great country. As a secondary function, the Barbetfanciers will act as a Rescue/Shelter for those Barbet who are needing placement due to unfortunate events that leave them homeless. With such a rare breed, the Barbet needs our protection and nurturing. Any questions, comments or concerns can be addressed to barbetfanciers@hotmail.com . All inquiries will be responded to.

Notre objectif est d'éduquer et d'informer les gens sur cette race dynamique et polyvalent et de promouvoir des pratiques d'élevage sains et éthiques. Il est également notre volonté de maintenir des registres précis et historique du Barbet au Canada, offrant soutien et encouragement aux propriétaires et les éleveurs à travers ce grand pays. En tant que fonction secondaire, la Barbetfanciers agira comme un sauvetage / logement pour ceux qui sont Barbet nécessitant le placement en raison des événements malheureux qui les laissent sans-abri. Avec telle une espèce rare, le Barbet a besoin de notre protection et le soin.
